King Taco Renews Sponsorship With Multiyear Agreement!

MARCH 23, 2022.

King Taco has signed a multiyear deal to continue as Official Mexican Restaurant of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, officials from both organizations announced today.

Founded in 1974 in a converted ice cream truck, King Taco has been recognized as a leader in Mexican Fast Food Service for more than 45 years. Its consistency and commitment to provide authentic Mexican food has allowed the company to expand to 21 stores in Los Angeles County. Quality, service, cleanliness and value are hallmarks of its successful image and reputation.

Now entering its 28th year of Grand Prix sponsorship, King Taco’s familiar food trucks will be present at various locations around the racetrack, including behind the main grandstands on Shoreline Drive and the central location near “Vendor Row” adjacent to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES paddock.

King Taco’s involvement with the Acura Grand Prix is also felt well beyond Long Beach. For the past 15 years, King Taco has partnered with Boys & Girls Club to bring 1,000 underprivileged youths from the greater Los Angeles area to attend the races on Sunday of race weekend – a total of 15,000 kids!

“We are excited to extend our partnership with the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach for another multi-year agreement, adding to our rich history together,” said Raul D. Martinez, King Taco President/CEO. “We also look forward to continue to work with the Association to bring young race fans in the community as part of our community outreach.  There is no doubt in our mind that it is the crown jewel in open wheel racing in Southern California, and we look forward to being a part of such an incredible historic event.”

As the Official Mexican Restaurant Sponsor at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, King Taco will receive visibility on-track and on national network television with colorful signage in key locations around the world-famous, 11-turn Acura Grand Prix course, including on the large permanent bridge over Shoreline Drive past the start/finish line heading into Turn 1 of the racetrack.

“We are delighted that King Taco has re-signed with the Acura Grand Prix for the long term,” said Grand Prix Association of Long Beach President & CEO Jim Michaelian. “Their food has become legendary at our event, as evidenced by the long lines we always see at their locations and the general buzz we hear from our fans on social media. We know this news is going to make a lot of people happy.”

The 2022 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach will be headlined by the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, as well as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. In addition, the weekend will include the Super Drift Challenge under the lights on Friday and Saturday nights plus doubleheader action from Robby Gordon’s SPEED/UTV Stadium Super Trucks, the Historic IMSA GTP Challenge and the new-for-2022 Porsche Carrera Cup North America.

Fans can select and pay for their Grand Prix seats, parking and paddock passes online at gplb.com or by calling the toll-free ticket hotline, (888) 827-7333.  Also featured on gplb.com is the latest Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach news and racetrack information, photos and ongoing announcements of special race week activities.

Ticket prices range from $37 for a Friday General Admission ticket to $168 for a three-day ticket that includes Sat./Sun. reserved seating in grandstand upper levels.  Pre-paid parking packages are also available, along with handicapped seating, NTT INDYCAR SERIES Paddock passes, Super Photo tickets and a wide variety of hospitality packages.

Fans can also follow the 2022 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on Facebook (GrandPrixLB), Twitter @GPLongBeach (#AGPLB), Instagram @GPLongBeach and YouTube (GPLongBeach).

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
