LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 8, 2009) – Tickets for the 36^th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, April 16-18, 2010, will go on sale Monday.

For the second consecutive year, ticket prices remain unchanged. The 2010 Grand Prix will again feature the IndyCar Series, with such stars as 2009 Long Beach winner Dario Franchitti, Danica Patrick, Scott Dixon and Helio Castroneves expected to return to battle wheel-to-wheel on the famed 1.97-mile, 11-turn seaside street circuit.

The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will scorch the downtown Long Beach streets with continuous action from six racing series, including drifting and Firestone Indy Lights.  On Saturday, April 17, the racing spotlight will shine on two fan favorites, the sports cars of the American Le Mans Series and the 34^th Annual Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, with film star Keanu Reeves expected to return as a “pro” and try for a second straight win.

One additional racing series will be announced soon.

Race weekend’s festival of entertainment includes free Friday and Saturday night Tecate Light concerts, the Lifestyle Expo, Green Power Prix-View, action sports demonstrations and much more.

“Once again we have assembled a unique series of events that continues our long-standing tradition of bringing the finest in racing and entertainment to Southern California,” said Jim Michaelian, President and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach.

“We have again held the line on ticket prices and, despite the economic downturn, our ticket renewals for 2010 have been very strong.  We look forward to providing our fans with a full weekend of stars, cars, sun and fun.”

The Lifestyle Expo in the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center will showcase displays of cutting-edge products and services in automotive, home, travel and personal fitness, as well as the ever-growing Green Power Prix-View with alternative-energy vehicles, water and energy conservation and healthy lifestyles.  The Expo will also feature a Kid’s Zone, computer games and action sports.

Ticket prices for the three-day event range from $25 for a Friday General Admission ticket to $125 for a three-day ticket that includes Sat./Sun. reserved seating in grandstand upper levels.  Pre-paid parking packages are also available, along with handicapped seating, IndyCar Paddock passes, Super Photo tickets and a wide variety of Hospitality Club packages including the all-new Vista Club located high atop the Hyatt Regency Long Beach.
