Cooler Master to Stage Sim Racing Tournament for Fans at Grand Prix!
April 3, 2024

Fans and gamers will have a new way to engage with the racing action at the 2024 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, as new sponsor Cooler Master will stage the event’s first-ever simulated racing tournament, the Cooler Master Dyn X Race Challenge, throughout the April 19-21 race weekend.

The inaugural sim racing tournament will use Cooler Master’s innovative Dyn X pro-level racing simulators, precision-engineered and co-developed with pro drivers for an authentic racing experience. The Dyn X simulators and tournament will be located in the Lifestyle Expo inside the main exhibit hall of the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center.

The Dyn X will be showcasing GT sports car racing Friday and Saturday and the open-wheel cars of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES on Sunday, all competing on the famed Long Beach circuit. These are two of the more than one dozen configurations it can shift to in an instant. Drivers who finish in the top 10 of the respective leaderboards will win prizes. The podium placers (first, second, and third) will get more extravagant prizes from Cooler Master, Acura, Honda Racing and the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach.

There will be a separate tournament on each day, all of which must be signed up for in advance at the Cooler Master booth in the Lifestyle Expo prior to participating. Leaderboard results will be available for review at: Dyn X Race Challenge – Cooler Master (coolermastergaming.com).

"We're excited to debut the Cooler Master Dyn X Race Challenge at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in sim racing, bringing a new level of engagement and realism to fans,” said Cooler Master General Manager of North America Wei Yang. “We’re proud to offer an authentic racing experience that bridges the gap between virtual and real-world racing excitement."

“We’ve been trying to do a sim racing tournament for several years here at the Acura Grand Prix and we are delighted that Cooler Master has come on board with the capability to do a top-flight event,” said Grand Prix Association of Long Beach President & CEO Jim Michaelian. “Their simulators are world-class, and we expect that it will be a great experience for our fans, old and new.”
