Committee of 300 Kickoff Party, Paddock Club Set
Annual Grand Prix Kickoff Party Set For Thurs., March 14 at Rock Bottom Brewery
LONG BEACH, Calif. (March 7, 2013) – Among its many activities over race weekend, the all-volunteer Committee of 300 hosts the popular Paddock Club, race-weekend party that annually welcomes race fans from as far away as Europe and Australia to enjoy a three-day package of entertainment and high-end amenities during the April 19-21 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend.
C300 Paddock Club guests enjoy music from the hottest local bands, dancing, closed-circuit TV, reserved grandstand seats in the best locations, breakfast, lunch, a full-service bar with attentive and friendly servers and permanent rest rooms!
It is the ORIGINAL Paddock Club at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, sponsored by the most prestigious all-volunteer group in Long Beach. And, for the 39th straight year, the Committee of 300 of Long Beach Inc. – the famed “Redcoats” – will again be critical to the success of race weekend.
C300 members serve in a variety of capacities during the Grand Prix, and at other times throughout the year, as the premier volunteer group in Long Beach, they can often be seen volunteering at a number of local events.
“The volunteers of the Committee of 300 are once again proud to be a part of the 2013 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach,” said Rich Carry, president of the C300. “After spending many hours preparing for the race, we’re happy to be the ‘Ambassadors to Long Beach,’ helping the fans in the grandstands, manning the information booths, and working with the press, and a myriad of other jobs. We also love to go out of our way to make sure everyone in the C300 Paddock Club is having fun! If you need some help, or just have a question, ask a Redcoat! We’re there to help.”
The C300 will be holding its annual Grand Prix “Kickoff Party” on Thursday, March 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Rock Bottom Brewery, 1 Pine Ave. in Long Beach. Attendees can enter to win prizes and participate in a silent auction with a number of exciting items to benefit charity.
Every year, the money the C300 raises through its various events and the Paddock Club goes to various Long Beach charities. For 2013, the C300 members have chosen two charities:
Children Today, dedicated to increase the safety, stability and confidence of children facing homelessness and provide quality early care and education programs absolutely free of charge, and
Pathways To Independence, whose mission is to foster profound and productive changes in young women in Long Beach and Orange County who have been traumatized by their family and abandoned by society.
C300 Paddock Club tickets can be purchased in a three-day package for $295, or for Sunday-only priced at $160 for adults and $98 for kids 12 and under. Fans can select and pay for their 2013 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach tickets, parking and IZOD IndyCar paddock access passes online at gplb.com or by calling the toll-free ticket hotline, (888) 82-SPEED.
